Wedding Day

It was raining in the morning...Joseph had stayed with his parents and I hadn't talked to him at all. I was driving in the drizzle to pick up my mom and sister to go get our hair done. I got about 7 texts along the lines "omg girl, are you freaking out bc of the weather?" and a few fb messages/texts along the lines of "hey girl, i'm so sorry but i can't come today :("

I refused to stress on this wonderful Saturday, February 19, 2011. This was our wedding day..the day that for the past 2 months I had been rushing to book and organize the  photographer/dj/venue/flowers all while experiencing my first-first trimester. (Cake tasting and food tasting was not fun for me like most brides)  I was nauseous and tired all day, every day and amazingly enough, wasn't nauseous on this beautiful day. Two weeks prior to this saturday, Austin froze over. But today was going to be a good day. If it rains, I get wet. (actually we had a "plan b") If I feel sick, I'll think positive thoughts. If my hair gets ruined from the weather, I'll bring my curling iron. I REFUSED to let this day be bad.

My best friend looked at me as I was messing with my veil and practically yells "DAMN GIRL, YOU ARE BUMPIN'!" As in my belly had decided to show itself, 4 months prego, just in time for me to fit into my wedding dress. :/ WHHHYY!!!

But guess what? I fit into my wedding dress just fine. I was plumper than my "dream" wedding body but that's ok, it was a beautiful day!

Low and behold you know what happened?! The clouds cleared and the sun decided to come out...the rain actually brought a nice breeze (no humidity) and our February turned out to be a lovely, outside ceremony in 75° weather. It was definitely the quickest ceremony in history too. Probably about 4 to 5 minutes long...literally. Our minister was a good friend of ours that was a bit nervous and sped through the whole thing! Which was fine with us...who likes long ceremonies anyway?! Lets get to the good stuff!!

It's the most amazing feeling to have everyone you love and loves you through different stages in your life all under the same roof, all there honoring and supporting you.
