TWINS!!

Who knew that twins were in the cards for us!? Still in shock…

Let me first say that I feel that each pregnancy is a journey. They are all different and special in their own way. From the moment you take that test in your bathroom to the day you hold your baby and beyond--an amazing, sometimes hard journey.

There was nothing that could have prepared me for this journey. When we found out we were pregnant we were all "Ok, one more will be good. We can do this one more time.."
So when we got to the dr and the ultra sound tech is positioning me and then I hear "OH F*#$" come out of Joseph's mouth I quickly looked to my right at the screen and in disbelief cried, "Um What's that!!!?" The ultrasound tech responded "Ohhh you guys! You're having twins! One…two!!"

Cue the instant tears. Joseph's laughing… The ultrasound tech is giggling… I felt like I was in a twilight zone hearing "twins! twins! twins!" over and over. I responded… "Umm no, thats not right. We only ordered one!" :)

Ok so fast forward to delivery day…
I decided to have a C-section because I felt that was the safest option with twins. I desperately wanted to do it naturally but knew that having the surgery would be best for these guys.
And let me tell you-- I didn't like it! I know there are so many women that prefer C-sections. But for me..no! I didn't like anything about it. Even the actual procedure was extremely uncomfortable for me and I threw up.

I was kinda nervous that having them via c-section wouldn't be as emotional and phenomenal but the moment Heath came out and I heard his cry, proved to be just as emotional!

Heath River was born at 12:29pm and Jed August followed a few seconds after.

Not a very eventful birth story. I couldn't eat for over 24 hours--that's all I was concerned about! :)

I made it to 38 weeks! Slightly inappropriate picture but nothing shows it as good!

Delivery Day! Last picture as a family of 4!

Pretty sure that's Heath on the left and Jed on the right but I have NO idea. Joseph took this picture while I was getting stitched up.

Heath and Jed,
You are the last pieces to our Stuckey puzzle. You have completed our tribe. We are so blessed and excited to have two more boys in the family. And though it still boggles my mind to say "Family of 6," I have never been so happy. I didn't know that you guys were in the plan but with you here, I now see how complete you make me feel as the mother of all my Stuckey boys. Welcome to the world boys. I love you so very much! Let the fun begin!
Love,
Mommy
